Receiving an award for what you do is always a boost for the morale. For me, it represents that the thought behind your efforts is getting recognized. I was honored to recently receive the Sunshine Blogger Award from a very positive person, April Huggins of
April Does That. Thanks April for the nomination ๐ .
ย So, here are my answers for April’s questions to the Sunshine Blogger Award awardees:
-

Why did you start blogging?
I wanted to share what turned my life around and continues to do so every day. Thereโs just so much more to life than what we think is possible for usโฆ. what we have grown to believe is possible for us. True happiness in life doesnโt come from feeling better, but from becoming better so that thereโs more meaning, joy, and satisfaction in life.
-
How did you come up with the name of your blog?
It’s soul talk… speaking about the things that really matter to you. So, Nandyz Soulshine is about sharing simple, actionable ideas, strategies, and insights (based on evidence-backed neuropsychological understanding and my life experiences) to empower others to change their life the way they want.
-
What was your favorite movie as a kid?
Born Free. It spoke to the love of the wild in my heart.
-
What makes your blog special?
Here the focus is on you rather than what I think works. Sure, the insights and ideas I share are based on my own experiences in life, but to make sure they work for others too for their unique situation, I make sure these are based on psychological research, understamding, and proven results. Here, you won’t find hacks but rather step-by-step guidance on how to find the best way tha works for you. Here, we respect your innate intelligence… and the fact that no one knows you best than you yourself… to come up with what would work best for you.
-
What was your first job?
I was an executive in an IT support service company.
-
Share the post you are most proud of.
5 Reasons why learning to say No is an important life skill
-
How long does it take you to do an average post?
To finish, polish and publish an average 1000+ words post, it takes me about 3 hours.
-
What would you like to tell your readers?
Always remember, we all have the power to build the life we know we deserve. It only takes โ
- breaking away from whatโs not helping, and
- finding the best way that works for us.

Hi, great to hear about such things as it gives us boost. Blogging is my passion for which I left my job as an engineer working for almost 7 years. But I do not regret it at all. It would be great too be considered for this award.
